Our honeymoon free travel (second stop): Rome - March 15, 2016) We looked at the small map and came to the door of this church. This church has many names, called the Basilica of the Virgin Mary, also known as the Basilica of the Virgin Mary, the Basilica of the Virgin Mary, the Snow of Santa Maria, Santa Maria Libero, and the Cradle of Santa Maria. (BASILICA SANTA MARIA MAGGIORE) I also found out for a long time, and I almost confused other similar names. There is a security check in front of the door, but because we came on Monday, there were not many people, so we quickly passed the security check. When we went to the church to visit, there were not many tourists, at least there were no tour groups. Very quiet atmosphere, you can take a closer look. Because I didn't do the strategy, I didn't know what it looked like at the time, but I just watched the majesty of the building. It can be said to be a very gorgeous, magnificent and decorated cathedral. The space inside is very large, divided into several parts, there is a guide map in front of the door, briefly introduced the parts. First, there is a rectangular gallery hall, there is a small hall on both sides, in fact, there is a sign hanging in front of a small hall with "no photos", but I still see Europeans holding up their mobile phones to take pictures inside, it is estimated that they did not see the sign. There is also a basement below. There were many highlights of this church. We didn't look closely at that time, but we felt that there were many details within our eyes, and we were a little blind, so we just tried our best to take a bunch of photos, but the photos couldn't record all of its beauty. Next time you go to Rome, you must look at the details of this church. What marble pillars, granite pillars are seen, the holy silver cradle of the holy baby in the basement, the platinum ceiling of the hall, these are all seen, but I really don’t know what material they are, how special or what style they are, but after returning, I only realized a little while looking at the pictures and the materials. It turned out that this church was a combination of architectural styles from many periods, so I thought it was special at the time, and I also felt that it hid a lot of stories. It is recommended that if you are interested in the church, it is best to take a closer look at the information when you go in the future, so that you will see it clearly at the scene at that time. If it is just for sightseeing, there are quite a lot of special things worth seeing at that time. The church is very close to the Termini train station in Rome, and you can take the subway to Termini, which is a ten-minute walk away.
