Xinghaiwan Beach is located on the southern coast of Xinghaiwan International Business Center, Shahekou District, Dalian City, adjacent to Xinghai Square and Xinghai Park. It is the largest artificial bathing beach in China. The beach of Xinghai Beach is about 2000 meters long and consists of 3 small bathing beaches. The entire beach is paved with high quality sand from Beidaihe, up to 3 meters thick. The breakwater at both ends of the arc coast calms the bay.

The Xinghai Bay artificial bathing beach is the largest artificial bathing beach in China. Xinghaiwan Bathing Beach is the largest artificial bathing beach in China. It was officially opened to the public in the summer of 1997. The whole bathing beach is divided into 1, 2, and 3, with a total length of 1387 meters and an area of 200,000 square meters, which is equivalent to two Xinghai Park bathing beaches and three Fujiazhuang bathing beaches. The beach is paved by 45,000 cubic meters of high quality sand brought in by Beidaihe.
