Yuliang Dam is located in Yuliang Village, Huiyu Town, Jixian County, Huangshan City. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the Ming Dynasty. It is the oldest and largest ancient dam in the upper reaches of the Xin'an River. It is the most well-known water conservancy project in Huizhou. It is known as the "first capital of Jiangnan". It can discharge flood and drought, can intercept popular boats, can beautify the environment. All dams are built with granite rock layers, and the upper and lower layers are inserted with rigid stone piers such as nails, tightly connected, and built into a solid dam lying across the river. There is a water gate in the middle of the dam for drainage.

It is now well preserved. I can't help but praise the hardworking wisdom of ancient Chinese working people and step on the stone for thousands of years. Looking around the green mountains and green waters, it is really pleasant to experience the life of local people at sunrise and sunset. The accommodation in the village is good, the room is large and decorated in an antique style, very old-fashioned, the price is much cheaper than the ancient city of Huizhou, there is a river trail to the ancient city in the village, 15 minutes walk, the scenery along the way is good, and I will arrive unknowingly. The fly in the ointment is that the village is a bit expensive to eat, 10 yuan of hair tofu is less than 2 or two, the food is slightly more expensive than the ancient city.

I like this scenic spot better myself. There are some momentous dams, you can go to the front, watch the rapids under the dam, listen to the sound of water, green mountains, green water, ancient villages, it is reminiscent of the grand occasion where businessmen gathered hundreds of years ago. In the ancient village, people were busy with dinner when smoke started cooking at home. Although the people in the ancient village are not rich, we big city people really yearn for such a simple and comfortable life.
