Landed in Pisa airport and had 5 hours to spare before catching a train to Florence. I had pre-booked ticket for the tower and the cathedral. We enjoyed the slow pace of the town, climbed the tower, had lunch in a little cafe and visited the beautiful cathedral. No queuing as we had pre-booked.
