Zyupan is a kimono shop in Arashiyama specializing in premium kimono experiences, accepting only 15 customers per day. Managed by a master of Kyoto Yuzen dyeing, the store boasts a collection of over 250 exquisite kimonos in diverse styles. Within walking distance to the Bamboo Forest Path and Togetsukyo Bridge, it's an ideal spot for photo opportunities in Kyoto.

Utilization process
Visit the store
Please arrive at the store at your scheduled appointment time.
② Select a kimono
Items you need to select include: Kimono, Obi (sash), Obi decoration (Obi-jime/Obi-age), Colored collar, Pendant, Obi clasp, Bag, Zori (Japanese sandals).
You can choose from approximately 250 kimonos.
Our store also offers a selection of original small items and accessories for you to choose from.
Since each item requires your personal selection, please allow sufficient time for your visit.
③ Wearing a kimono
Professional Japanese staff will assist you in carefully dressing in a kimono.
After selecting your kimono and obi, you will proceed to the dressing session.
You can immediately put on the selected kimono here.
④ Hairstyling (only available in packages that include hairstyling)
After putting on the kimono, the next step is hairstyling.
Please select a hairstyle that matches your chosen kimono.
⑤ Headwear Selection
After completing the hairstyle, the next step is to select a headpiece.
We offer original hair accessories, including hairpins and other ornaments, which you can freely mix and match according to your preferences.
⑥ Bag selection
After selecting the headwear, proceed to choose a bag.
People in Kyoto do not use drawstring pouches or Japanese-style handbags.
We also offer vintage bags, and you're welcome to choose one that complements your kimono.
Outings
Once everything is ready, you can head out.
