The kimono rental service is located near the tourist spots. Friendly women quickly dressed me in a kimono and styled my hair. There's a wide selection of kimonos to suit every taste. We had a great time strolling around and taking photos in beautiful locations. I enjoyed trying on a kimono, but walking around in tabi for long periods is uncomfortable, so it's a good thing I brought sneakers.

Amazing day with Nick Lee! Cozy car, relaxed pace, plenty of time at every spot. Arashiyama train & Hozugawa boat cruise were stunning. Nick's fluent English kept everyone engaged. Great conversations with fellow tourists too. Highly recommend!

The ride is short, about 15 minutes, and the views are beautiful. If you don't plan to continue rafting (you need to book in advance), then just take the roundtrip.
