I'm so grateful to Ken for his excellent driving and explanations during this trip to Penang with my parents from Taiwan. During the eight-plus hours, we smoothly visited Kek Lok Si Temple and Penang Hill in the morning (the experience of driving the Jeep up the hill was especially memorable). Ken's well-planned itinerary ensured we always finished before traffic jams. My family particularly enjoyed his recommendation of the Penang History Museum and the guide CK, who gave us a deep understanding of Penang's history. The two hours were completely engaging, and we learned about the connections between Penang and Taiwan! Next time I'm in Penang, I'll definitely hire Ken again to take my family to Ipoh and even Kuala Lumpur. I also highly recommend Ken to Taiwanese people who are hesitant but want to try it out – his service is top-notch! 👍★

One of the best food tours ever!!! My guide, Grace, was so fun and knowledgeable. She was absolutely brilliant and the itinerary was PERFECT! I sampled a TON of food and left the tour feeling full but not bursting. And that's only because Grace and Chef's Tours made sure to balance the foods you ate. So, it wasn't just heavy food after heavy food, but you had delicious light snacks and cool drinks and nibbles dispersed throughout. Amazing value for money! And while Grace advised you on good stores to buy food souvenirs from, there was absolutely no pressure to buy in that instant! The attitude the whole time felt very orienting haha like she was helping me to maximize my eating itinerary in penang ❤️ a 1000 out of 10 from me!! You won't regret it!!★

Reviews: Penang Hill Funicular Ticket

Spent a morning at the Penang hill. It is a great family activity. To get to the base of the hill where you will take the funicular railway up the hill, you can easily do ride hailing which will take you right to the drop off point of the station. If you drive, there is a multi storey car park beside which is very convenient and you do not need to walk far. The ride up to the top (2000+ ft) can be a bit of a squeeze as they pack the cabins including people standing but the plus is that the queue moves fast. When you reach the top you will experience the cool air. The temperature is about 5 degrees cooler and it is a welcome respite from the usual heat. At the top of the hill you can walk around to visit the various sites and there is plenty of activities for the children. There is also a food court where you can get the usual delicious Penang food. A well spent morning!
