Jiufen Old Street was one of the places I really enjoyed exploring during my Taiwan trip. There's something special about this little mountain town, from its narrow winding alleys and traditional teahouses to the beautiful red lanterns hanging above the streets.I personally loved wandering around, trying different Taiwanese snacks, browsing the little souvenir shops and stopping whenever I spotted a beautiful photo opportunity. The iconic A-Mei Tea House is definitely one of the highlights, especially when the lanterns light up.One thing I would recommend is visiting in the late afternoon and staying until evening. The atmosphere becomes even more magical when the lanterns glow against the mountain backdrop. It can get quite crowded, especially along the main street, but I still think Jiufen is worth experiencing at least once. For me, it's not just about sightseeing, but enjoying the nostalgic charm of old Taiwan.
