Most people who travel to Hong Kong will visit Macau for one or two nights. It is very convenient to use the ferry to get to Macau, and the immigration process is not complicated. There are free shuttle buses from each hotel upon arrival, so it is convenient to use the free shuttle bus when you arrive in Macau. I only went on a one-day trip to the Cotai area of Macau and just took a hotel tour, and everything was within walking distance. I wasn't really interested in historical sites or cathedrals, so I just went to the Parisian Eiffel Tower and other Instagram-worthy photo spots, but I think I was satisfied and saw everything there was to see.★

Board the ferry at Sheung Wan Ferry Pier. It's conveniently located just a short taxi ride from Harbour City through a tunnel. Use the QR code to exchange for your ticket, then go through customs and wait in the waiting hall to get your seat number. Ferries depart for Taipa every half hour.★

One-hour journey. Don't expect to take many photos of the coast or anything like that, as you're sitting in a seat and the windows are dirty from the water because of how fast it goes.
