My family had a wonderful tour of the old town and castle in Heidelberg. Our tour guide Henry was incredibly knowledgeable and kind enough to answer all of our questions from history to beer halls. He also interacted with our 4 children (ages 20, 19, 16, & 13) in areas ranging from their interests to helping them with speaking German. I believe most families would find this adventure enjoyable and Henry quite delightful.★

As with most all castles, a must see and visit adventure. Put your walking shoes on, you'll need them! Lots of cobblestones and the the castle itself will take your breath away. You'll also see the world's "largest wine barrel"... go with a guide to get all the stories behind the history...ie; the windows, etc.★

This was a wonderful trip. Our guide was amazing. He was personable and fun and gave up his day off to do our last-minute tour (we booked when we had an unexpectedly longer layover). Rothenburg was fascinating and lots of fun (even in the cold!) and Heidelberg was just beautiful. We really got a window into German history and culture -- very fun!★
