I have to say that the biggest satisfaction of this trip is that we ordered a chartered car arrangement. If you want to use the bus to and from the fixed point, in such a hot summer vacation in addition to the difficulty is also a waste of time, let alone the taxi is not as convenient as we imagined, so we planned a day of chartered car itinerary. The specifications of the car are quite good, clean and comfortable. We are a "Master Lin" who picks us up. We must appreciate the kindness and professionalism of Master Lin. We have arranged the smoothness of the itinerary. Every one that wants to eat does not waste time, and comfortable arrival and completion. Highly recommended! The tour includes information about the wall, an entrance ticket, and roundtrip transportation from Dongzhimen Station. Please note! A guide will not accompany you to the wall (they are not necessary). You must purchase cable car/sled tickets separately, or you can buy them from the guide on the bus (they are the same price). There are two routes to choose from: the red route from the 14th to the 20th towers - the most beautiful views, an uphill climb, and a roundtrip indoor funicular ride (140 yuan); the green route from the 6th to the 1st towers - the views are also beautiful, but not as breathtaking, an open funicular ride, and a sled/funnel ride (140 yuan). You can also combine them! I personally chose to only take the red route on the closed funicular and walk from the 14th to the 19th tower (I didn't have enough strength to go any further), then the return route from the 19th to the 6th tower and a sled ride! It cost 200 yuan. The whole journey took me 3.5 hours. I want to express my deepest gratitude to the guide, Maxim; he explained everything in detail, gave advice, and answered the group's questions. Thank you for the trip and the great atmosphere!
