Excellent tour of central Shanghai with Michael. It is more than a food tour as he gives a detailed history of China, Shanghai and the buildings we walk past. Food was all excellent. A good introduction to the city for our first day.

Had an amazing time on this food tour! We hit some hidden local spots with super tasty and authentic food. Our guide Laura was great — really knowledgeable and fun. Besides eating, we also explored People’s Park, Suzhou Creek, and the Bund, with lots of cool stories along the way. Super chill vibe, learned a lot, and saw a whole new side of Shanghai. Highly recommend!

Had such a fulfilling experience on the breakfast tour today. The highlight was definitely the pancake—it was soft, fragrant, and surprisingly crunchy all at once. I’ve never had anything with that kind of texture or flavor before, and it paired perfectly with soy milk. I also enjoyed the mango dessert, a huge fan of anything mango.. We passed through People’s Park and stumbled upon the marriage market - quite eye-opening. Highly recommend this tour!

This tour is a great way to get to know Shanghai on your first full day in town. The food choices were unique, but tasty, and its a great balance of food. You also get to see a good amount of locations and learn a bit about the culture. I would recommend this for first time visitors who are in good enough health to walk around a decent distance. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed it, although it was at the maximum of her tolerance for walking in the heat. 69 year old grandfather also enjoyed it.

Come with an empty stomach and leave with a full heart! You’ll eat the best food on this tour, and you’ll learn a lot about Shanghai from friendly and knowledgeable guides. Because it’s a private tour, we were able to have really good genuine conversations with the guides. We learned about life in Shanghai and China more generally. Every dish we ate is in competition for the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Definitely take this tour!
