Reviews: SINFUL SECRETS OF VALLETTA - Blood, Booty and Courtesans
Guest User2026-02-27
We met Giacomo, who arrived punctually at the meeting point, dressed in full pirate—or, as we later learned, corsair—attire. Before our very eyes, Giacomo transformed into his alter ego, "Alonso de Contreras," who, during the evening tour of Valletta, took us on a journey through his life as a corsair in the service of the Knights of Malta. He entertainingly and knowledgeably intertwined the turbulent episodes of his life with the history of the island and the landmarks in Valletta. Almost as an aside, he let us in on dark secrets that aren't found in any guidebook... A fantastic experience that we highly recommend! P.S.: Please note that the tour is conducted in English.

The activity matched the description. We particularly appreciated the local guide, who spoke fluent Italian and explained everything in detail, even adding some interesting facts about the place. The transportation service from your accommodation to the ferry departure point, as well as the return journey, was very convenient.

I was the only person booked on and the crew were so brilliant and accommodating. Andrea led the tour and gave lots of information on the buildings and sites. An excellent tour!

Audio guide for the film in all languages... great, but no more audio guide for the Sacra Infirmeria, which is a shame.
