The tour exceeded our expectations! As the other reviews have said, Elsa is highly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the area and of the world. She showed us many details in the buildings and locations we visited that we would not have known about. We enjoyed her wry sense of humor. We appreciate her view of the role of women in in the history.

Hidden alleyways far from the tourists. And the excellent guide Sofia with her French-Maltese name. She tells me about her troubled childhood under the dictator Salazar and the suffering of a people who no longer had access to culture or freedom of expression.

Évora is a beautiful city rich in history and culture but we would have missed all of it without our guide, João. He really made the city come alive and did an amazing job at tailoring the tour to our interests. I would highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get João please tell him we said óla!

We got the Lisbon Megapass for our weekend trip and it honestly made everything so much easier. We used it for the trams, the river cruise, and a couple of museums. Not having to worry about buying separate tickets saved us so much time. The river cruise at sunset was the highlight for us. Definitely recommend if you want to see a lot in just a few days.

We had an absolutely fantastic day on the Évora, Chapel of Bones, Monsaraz & Alentejo Wines tour — a perfect mix of history, stunning scenery and delicious local wine tasting. Rafael spoke English fluently and was warm, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable, making every stop come alive with interesting stories and insights. From the eerie but fascinating Chapel of Bones to the medieval charm of Monsaraz and the relaxed wine tasting in the Alentejo countryside, this was one of the best day trips from Lisbon we’ve taken. Highly recommend!
