It's a great deal for traveling to Hirashima and back. I also used it to travel to Nara and back. It's also possible to travel around Osaka on some routes.

This time, since we were going to ski at Hong Kong Hill, which is quite far from Osaka, we bought this JR Pass, which was very cost-effective. A round trip would normally cost around 6,000-7,000 yen, so this basically saved us half the price. I recommend buying GRP tickets if you're traveling to distant places in Japan, as they generally save you money, and if you buy tickets for multiple trips, they often include some premium fares.

After booking, you'll receive a QR code for installation. Installation is easy. Once in Japan, connecting to the signal is easy, and the speed is stable. We used 5GB a day and had plenty left over (but we didn't use it for maps). It's easy to use for general purposes and we had no problems at all. The kids used it to play games and watch cartoons all day without any issues. It's great, I highly recommend it.

It's an incredibly convenient and easy-to-use pass, and the option to include a JR pass for free is especially popular. I wasn't trying to save money; I was just too lazy to compare routes and prices. Once you get used to JR, it's really convenient. When I'm going to Kyoto and then back to Osaka and Kobe, the JR trains are always delayed, so I can easily switch to the Hello Kitty Airport Line without worrying about finding a seat. Once you get used to it, it's actually more convenient than a Suica card.


