The favela tour was so much more than I expected it to be. This was a remarkable experience. Our guide was truly an outstanding person who gave us a very respectful and intelligent insight into the community and life in the favela. It was an emotional trip and one I’ll never forget. Such inspiring people living in trying circumstances showed me the human spirit and love of family and neighbour is alive in these wonderful communities. Taking care of the children and keeping families intact and safe is key. A profound experience I would recommend to everyone.

My wife, our two children (10 and 12 years old), and I took the helicopter tour, and it's an absolute must! It's a unique experience! We were lucky enough to see Christ the Redeemer on a cloudy day when it seemed to be reborn in the sky amidst all the clouds: incredible!

What an amazing day we had at Tijuca Forest! Our tour guide, Eric, was incredibly knowledgeable and led the entire tour in English — which was especially helpful since there were 11 of us and I was the only Brazilian in the group. We learned so much and had a lot of fun exploring caves, swinging from cipó like Tarzan, spotting different animals, and enjoying beautiful waterfalls. We highly recommend this tour!!!

Great experience, would definitely recommend! Really eye-opening given all of the stigma around favelas, and fascinating to see a way of life so alien to anything I've seen before. Daniel was a great tour guide as well, knew his stuff and was passionate about improving the lives and careers of those living in Rocinha.
