Itinerary
Discovering the historical and cultural heart of the city.
Welcome to Vlora, one of the oldest and most fascinating cities in Albania, entry between the Adriatic and Ionian Seas, and the scene of key events in the country's history.

IMPORTANT: Departure from the National Museum of Independence

First stop: National Historical Museum of Vlora
Our visit begins right here, at the National Historical Museum (entry ticket included). Through its pavilions, we will retrace the main stages of Albanian history, with particular attention to the 1912 Declaration of Independence, signed right here in this city. Among archaeological finds, historical documents, and testimonies of the struggle for freedom, we will begin our journey through time.

We will travel by bus to: The Muradie Mosque
Built in the 16th century, this mosque is one of the architectural symbols of Vlora. It was designed by the famous Ottoman architect Sinan, who also created monumental works throughout the Ottoman Empire. It was originally a Byzantine church.
A small jewel of symmetry and harmony, it bears witness to the long coexistence of cultures and religions in Albania.

️Walk in Flag Square (Sheshi i Flamurit)
The civic heart of the city, the square is home to the Independence Monument, with a statue of national hero Ismail Qemali. It was here that the Albanian flag was raised for the first time on November 28, 1912, marking the birth of independent Albania.

️Exploration of the historic Muradie district
With its narrow alleys, stone houses, and authentic atmosphere, the Muradie district reveals the most intimate side of Vlorë. Here, time seems to have stood still: we will walk among Ottoman architecture, carved wooden details, and glimpses of history.

☕ Coffee break – offered to you at Bar Komiteti
A moment of relaxation in one of the city's most unique cafés. Komiteti is known for its vintage style and for being a small corner of relaxation. A coffee here is a leap into Albania's recent memory.

⛰️ Ascent to the Kuzum Baba Shrine
With an elevation gain of about 30 meters above sea level, we will climb a picturesque staircase to the Bektashi shrine of Kuzum Baba, which dominates the city from above. This is the most beautiful viewpoint in Vlora: from here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the city. The sanctuary itself is a mystical place, a symbol of tolerance and spirituality.

‍♀️ Descent and farewell on Ismail Qemali Boulevard
Finally, we will descend along the large tree-lined boulevard, among shops, cafés, and the daily life of the modern city. Here we will conclude our visit, taking with us the memory of a welcoming Vlora, rich in history and beauty.
