Reviews: Samui Boat Charter, Private Speedboat Charter, Angthong National Marine Park

The boat was well equipped and maintained. Hong, our guide, was wonderful and super engaging and playful with the younger kids in our family. Nut and Film - our other crew members - were equally attentive and friendly. Overall we had a fantastic and well executed day! It started with picking us up at the beachfront of our hotel, then to the Angthong Marine Park (we visited first to avoid the large crowds so that the climb up and down to the Emerald Lagoon wasn’t rushed for our little hikers), then to a spot north of the park to privately snorkel, followed by lunch (we preordered so that the food was ready for us when we arrived), next to a private beach cove (which unfortunately was covered with plastic rubbish but our team quickly cleaned the beach with help from us) and then back to the beachfront of our hotel in Bophut. The experience was fully enjoyed by all in our family, from the youngest to the oldest. I highly recommend this company - booking was a breeze and communication up to our tour and throughout our experience was impeccable.
Reviews: Koh Samui Angthong National Marine Park one-day tour [Snorkeling/Lunch/Transfer/Kayaking]

I recently visited Angthong National Marine Park, and it was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in Thailand! The speedboat excursion took the entire day: snorkeling among the corals, kayaking in the lagoons, and climbing to an observation deck overlooking the emerald lake and dozens of islands.

The service staff were very helpful. There were two hikes, one 100 meters and the other 500 meters. The 500-meter hike led to the last island. We allowed an hour and a half, but my wife was too tired to go up. We only snorkeled once, and the water quality wasn't great (visibility was only two or three meters, nothing like the Similan Islands). Today I'm staying on Koh Tao for three days, and the snorkeling there is much better, sometimes reaching several meters or even ten meters. There was also a recreational kayak ride available, which involved paddling along the coast to another bay and back, probably taking about 30-40 minutes. Those who frequently kayak would probably find it boring, but those who haven't tried it should give it a go. Also, the price was incredibly cheap, only 400 RMB per person. We ended up giving a 200 baht tip.

Since I was already in Koh Samui, I decided to visit one of the islands and signed up for this tour. My expectations weren't high, but I enjoyed the trekking. The snorkeling in the bay at the end was surprisingly good, with schools of fish clearly visible. However, the current was strong, so I worried I might not make it back to the cave in time, so I snorkeled around the boat. The trekking section was quite steep and involved unsteady stone steps, so it's best to wear sneakers if possible. However, I didn't see any information about this, so I ended up wearing flip-flops. I bought water shoes on the boat, but they were too big and didn't fit. They were a bit cheap for 300 baht, so I ended up having to use them for disposables, which left me feeling like I wasted money. However, the Burmese guide was very entertaining, and overall, it was a very enjoyable tour.

Comfortable. They picked us up from the hotel, fed us, and gave us Coke, Fanta, and water during the trip. Everything was great. Cons: They didn't contact us to tell us the pickup time, and they didn't mention that we'd have to pay 300 baht for a national park ticket when we checked in at the pier. Otherwise, everything was great; I liked it.

Don't expect much from the lunch and boat comfort, however it is OK and the park is really beautiful.
