If you booked accommodation in northern areas like Ueno or Nippori for your Tokyo trip, I highly recommend this. Also, I found the 72-hour unlimited subway pass to be incredibly useful. I will definitely purchase it again the next time I visit Tokyo.ā

It's very convenient; be sure to buy and exchange it at Odawara Station. With this pass, you'll have virtually no expenses along the route. From Odawara, take two trains to Gora Station. Then from there, take the funicular, then the cable car, then a boat, and then a bus back to Gora. Don't worry about the number of transfers; this is the most interesting part of the onsen journey.ā
