A very fun trip, super satisfying! The tour planner helped us plan the time very well!
The small group of 12 people in a Mercedes wasn't as crowded as a large bus.
First, we rode the Puffing Billy Steam Train. We didn't need to book tickets in advance (tickets are very hard to get). This route goes to Belgrave. Remember to find your carriage and grab a seat on the left first – the view is better!
Next, we went to the zoo and got to see kangaroos and koalas. Touching a koala costs an extra 30 AUD, but it was definitely worth it, and we took some beautiful photos.
Finally, we watched the penguin parade. So cute! Waiting quietly on the shore for the penguins to come ashore, watching the flocks return, was a truly therapeutic moment.
Overall, a super satisfying day! The tour leader was also a very nice and beautiful lady!★

Very convenient booking with Trip! And the price is cheaper than other platforms. It’s not hard to use too you can just show the QR to the staff. And if you book 2 ways(+go back to airport) you can just show the same QR. It worked well and no problem.★

Today's Penguin Island and steam train day trip was fantastic! The scenery along the train was beautiful, and the locals waved warmly, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The Nobbies coastline was breathtaking, and seeing the penguins returning to their nests up close at night was truly therapeutic. The tour guide was also very attentive, making the whole day a comfortable and relaxed experience without being too rushed. Highly recommended!Trip.com picks
