My kids had an amazing time at this workshop! They made two beautiful bird accessories using colored mother of pearl fragments. The shop owner was friendly and patient as she guided my kids throughout the process. Not only did they get to create a beautiful souvenir for our trip, they also learned about Chinese culture. We highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Shanghai for an authentic cultural experience!★

I don't understand anything, but it's very interesting. The hall is beautiful, the food is interesting, and the presentation is superb. If you're ever in Shanghai, be sure to go and get some costumes and makeup.★

I stumbled upon this workshop by chance while browsing activities in Shanghai. It's definitely worth the money. The workshop itself is beautiful, and the lovely girls explained in English about incense and its history in China. If you have the time (allow about 3-4 hours; it took me about 3), I highly recommend it. You can make beautiful incense beads.
