All the places are great to explore and really nice. Just my opinion, the tour guide should wait for all of us to get down from the bus first then he can started to explain about the place not when we reach down to him, he is done. And we arrived shirakawago around 3:15pm and the last shuttle bus around 3:40pm to observatory. So it is not enough time as we need to walk a bit to a pickup point for shuttle bus. All the three places are so crowded but still nice to explore

It's easy to get a discount, so there's no reason not to use it.

The pickup and return journeys were simple and smooth. The bus drivers spoke only broken English, but they did their best to explain everything to me using gestures and Google Translate. The bus was comfortable, and there were plenty of stops along the way to get snacks and drinks or to use the toilets. On the return journey, there were even sleeping compartments with blankets and blackout capes.
