Reviews: Ho Chi Minh - Mui Ne Phan Thiet Bus By Hanh Cafe

The trip itself went well: the journey took three hours instead of four. We rode a small bus in Ho Chi Minh City, stopped at a technical stop after about an hour, everyone went to the restroom, and then we were transferred (according to the receipt) to the sleeper bus itself. But!!! No one told us where the bus station was or where we should go. We were very lucky that we used Google Maps to find the location near our hotel (although there were two more on the map!!!). We arrived at the "office" - a tiny, shabby room. And for about 15 minutes, with the help of a translator, we tried to figure out if we were where we needed to be and if everything was OK with the reservation. They found it, printed us a receipt, and when the bus arrived, they told us it was time. So, the experience is mixed; finding the station can be difficult for a tourist.

The staff is helpful and responsive to contact by Whatsapp and remind me to get on the small van in a timely manner. He even checked in that I was on the right bus for the next city. The drive was smooth and fast even it was raining when I boarded the bus.

Departed Ho Chi Minh City at 8:25, crossed the border at 11:20, departed at 12:30, and arrived in Phnom Penh at 16:35. There was a break along the way. The guide handled the immigration procedures for us, which made it easy.

The carriages are clean and tidy, suitable for long-distance rest. The air conditioning temperature is moderate, and the train is relatively quiet at night. The fares are relatively affordable and cost-effective. The drivers drive steadily and the staff are friendly. The overall comfort and convenience are satisfactory. It is very suitable for travelers with limited budgets or who want to experience land travel.

This was the most satisfying bus ride of our trip to Vietnam. No need to take off shoes. Seeing other buses use large racks to collect everyone's slippers upon boarding and exiting, I knew I made the right choice. The day before departure, the staff added us on WeChat and picked us up at the hotel. Upon arrival in Ho Chi Minh City, they even called a taxi to take us there. The service was perfect.
