Install it using a QR code before leaving the country, and then once you've landed, simply turn on the eSIM and roaming to start communicating.
There's no need to worry about APNs or anything like that.
You're generally connected via 5G, but in reality the connection was often slow, so I changed it to a fixed 4G connection.
eSIMs are so convenient that I'll never go back to using a physical SIM.★
