This was one of my favorite little adventures in Miami! We did find Sandspur/Raccoon island on IG reels and we were a little worried that it would be a tourist trap, but it wasn't at all! There were about 20 people on our main boat tour and we all had space to enjoy the view and experience. We saw Bird Island, kayaked through some mangrove trees, and then stopped by Sandspur Island (where you can also see the building from the show Dexter). There aren't as many raccoons in the video, but we definitely saw some. Very cute! Highlight: seeing mangrove trees from the kayak! I will never forget that experience. Heads up: there is a least an hour of kayaking. It's not hard kayaking but best to be aware ahead of time. You will also be provided with a life jacket. Tip: bring some snacks to have with you to have on the boat tour. They will provide drinks, but it's a long day so we were glad we had some of our snacks. Tour guide was fantastic!★

One of the best things to do in Miami. Feeding the raccoons on the island is an incredible experience. Just remember to bring some fruit or nuts. Captain Francesco ensured our safety and a wonderful atmosphere, and provided us with a wealth of interesting information. The boat was very comfortable. I highly recommend it!
