It's fairly convenient to use, and the price is reasonable. If you're visiting two or more attractions in a day from Kyoto or Osaka, it's probably worth the ticket price. However, you must link to the order through the Trip.com app. If you share the shortened URL by reposting, it seems to detect the changed path and require you to enter a verification code again. If multiple people need to use it, it's recommended to split the orders to avoid getting stuck on the same login device.

Ok: you can get from Osaka to Kyoto via Umeda, and also across Osaka from one end to the other. Pros: works for both routes, price seems to be the same as on the official website. Cons: you need an internet connection to use it, you have to open the booking every time, and there's a lot of tapping involved. Might not be a dealbreaker, but it's a bit of a hassle.
