Our trip started in Taiwan then mainland then HK then Taiwan. The connection had been smooth for almost all time. The only unpleasant exception happened in the inspection building of our entry port to mainland where we needed it most to complete our entry registration online but the signal was so weak that we had to use local WiFi. With that said I would still use it next time because how easy it was to download and install the eSIM and use it all the way through our trip.

It's very easy to set up, and in case of emergency, the support team responds quickly. We stopped the data plan because it was difficult to track how much we were spending. We thought we were low, but it turned out we'd used it all. That was probably the only annoying issue. But that was with our previous SIM card; this time, we've learned how to monitor it via mobile data and set daily limits. We recommend it.
