A very attentive lady dressed me. She always checked on my well-being and helped me with the selection without being prescriptive. Getting dressed took about an hour; it was simply incredible to feel firsthand and understand what the maiko had to do every day to look so fantastic. I'd worn three kimonos before, and everywhere else it felt rushed and some parts were omitted. This was the most authentic experience for me!
