Chaoyin Cave is located in the Zizhu Forest Scenic Area and refuses to go opposite the Guanyin Academy. Similar to the Fanyin Cave on the east side of Putuo Mountain, Chaoyin Cave is also a landscape that you need to listen to with your ears. In contrast, the Chaoyin Cave is much lower, and it is not easy to find even buried in the reef group, but its deep and long twists and turns are above the Fanyin Cave. Go south from Zizhulin Parking Lot, turn left towards Zizhulin Temple, and you will reach Chaoyin Cave about 200 meters away. Chaoyin Cave is half immersed in the sea and about 10 meters deep. The three characters "Chaoyin Cave" at the entrance of the cave are handwritten by Emperor Kangxi. Visitors can walk down the steps on the cave and listen to the sound of the waves crashing against the rocky cliffs. You will feel the roar of the waves, and even your feet seem to vibrate. Watching the ebb and flow of the tide in Chaoyin Cave, leaning on the railing and looking at the sea where the water and sky are the same color in the distance, there is a feeling of sudden enlightenment. It is said that this is the place where the Avalokitesvara appeared, and it is the first temple in Putuo who refuses to go to the Guanyin Academy, which also makes Chaoyin Cave a bit more mysterious. In the hearts of many believers, Chaoyin is not only the voice of the ocean tide, but also the voice of the Bodhisattva preaching the Dharma. Therefore, there are still many people making and repaying their wishes here, which is said to be very effective.

During a trip to Zhejiang, I visited the Putuoshan Scenic Area. The Pantuo Stone, located on the Meiling Peak platform in the West Mountain Scenic Area, is one of the most representative strange rocks in the area. Two large rocks "overlap" with only a tiny contact surface, appearing precarious yet as stable as a rock. Legend has it that Guanyin Bodhisattva once preached there, hence the name "Pantuo Stone." The stone also bears inscriptions such as "Diamond Gem" and "Number One Stone Under Heaven."

Mahayana Zen Temple is really worth a visit. There is a reclining Buddha, which is very spiritual. After taking the cable car down from Foding Mountain, take the bus to Puji Temple and get off at Mahayana Zen Temple halfway. Pay respect to the Buddha and pray. May all your wishes come true!

Haiyin Pond is located in Puji Temple in Putuoshan Scenic Area. It is a large pond separated by a stone bridge and the Yongzheng Imperial Monument. The pond is full of lotus flowers and is very beautiful. It was originally a pond for releasing animals. Perhaps because too many animals were released, a sign was erected next to it prohibiting the release of animals, which is also to maintain the ecological balance in the pond. However, stopping here to appreciate the beautiful scenery with the bells and fragrance of the Zen temple behind you is a kind of enjoyment for the soul.

Located at the northernmost part of the island, this temple is basically accessible by bus. But it is also the largest, newest, and most majestic one, and it feels like you have arrived at a royal courtyard. The koi in the pond at the entrance are dazzling. There are also beautiful wall carvings imitating the Longmen Grottoes. There are not many tourists here, so it is more quiet.

In the past, the first attraction when I came to Putuo Mountain was Nantianmen! There was no public transportation at that time, so I would not miss all the attractions by walking! Now after arriving on the island, there are scenic buses going to various temples. On the contrary, Nantianmen is the most beautiful when leaving the island at sunset and heading from Nanhai Guanyin to the pier! [Scenery] [Fun] [Value for money]

The most famous temple in the Putuo Mountain Scenic Area is the Fayu Temple. This Xiangyun Road is a pilgrimage route from the Fayu Temple to the top of the mountain. The scenery along the way is very nice, and there are many Zen temples along the way!

We go to Mount Putuo once a year. On that day, we parked our car at Zhujiajian Wharf and took the ferry to Mount Putuo. When we got off the wharf, we could see the gate of Mount Putuo by looking up. It seemed that our hearts would become calm at this moment.

Chaoyin Cave is located in front of Zizhulin Temple in the southeast of Putuoshan Island, at the foot of Longwan, and at the place where people cannot go to Guanyin Temple. The cave is half submerged in the sea, with a depth of about 30 meters. The depth from the cliff to the bottom of the cave is about 10 meters. The cave is full of strange rocks, with sharp teeth and no room for feet. The coast here is winding and back and forth, with steep cliffs and layers of strange rocks. The bottom of the cave leads to the sea, and there are two gaps on the top, called skylights. In the 38th year of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1699), the imperial calligraphy "Chaoyin Cave" was engraved on the wall of the cave. The entrance of Chaoyin Cave faces the sea and is open. It is hit by waves day and night, and the tide rushes into the cave, like a flying dragon and thundering, so it is named Chaoyin Cave. When the tide is high, leaning on the rock and looking down, it is like a dragon leaping under your feet, with many dangers and strange things. If there is strong wind, the waves will splash and the foam will rush directly to the "skylight". If it is a sunny day, the colorful rainbow in the cave will appear, which is a wonder.
