Things to do in Qitaihe

Shilong Mountain has a very peculiar shape, and the forest coverage is like a big carpet, covering the mountain tightly. Therefore, the scenery of this place has a very unique charm, and many tourists who come to Qitaihe will come here to enjoy the scenery.

Wusihun River National Forest Park is Xidaquan Forest Park. It will be closed from July 20, 2024 and is currently being upgraded to a 4A scenic spot. The scenery is nice, with large tracts of birch virgin forests and natural rivers. The camping area is also large, and many people make fires and cook there. Some people are not good at protecting the environment and litter, which needs to be managed more strictly. I went from Qitaihe. The air on the forest trail was fresh, and I passed by a Jiulong Reservoir, where the natural scenery was also good.

It is not far from the county town, and the scenery on the mountain is nice. It is suitable for picnics and camping in summer. You will pass by some Japanese-style buildings and air-raid shelters along the way. There are also exhibition halls and air-raid shelters that can be visited. Unfortunately, they were not open when we went there on Saturday. It is suitable for patriotism education and party member training. If you have the opportunity, you can go and have a look.

Xiandongshan Scenic Area has built several new scenic spots in recent years. The overall environment is good and is not inferior to the parks in big cities.

Not bad, quite fun, bring some food, the weather is cool on National Day, there are few people, just eat instant noodles and grilled sausages, the big water slide is very interesting, there are free recycling raincoats, wear them, it's useful, non-powered park, and water park are free, the magic show is also very good, there are performances in the parking lot. The time is reasonably arranged, it's quite interesting, the cruise ship is not fast, it just turns around,

The scenic area is large, mainly featuring the waterfall area with a diving performance, which is quite good. The waterfall and lake water are yellow and murky. You can take the shuttle bus to the lakeside pier and the east gate area to see them, but it's not as good as I imagined. The infrastructure is average, but the natural scenery is okay. There are fewer people at the east gate. On the way back to the north gate, you can call the scenic area, and there is a shuttle bus waiting at the bus stop.

Although many say China's Snow Town is becoming too touristy & expensive (compared to Snow Valley), I think it is still worth visiting. There are lots of ACTIVITIES to do all within walking distance. Reindeer rides, feeding, skiing, photo op including the hot water vapor video etc. One down side is that there was no signage to designated bus to/from Yabuli station (no waiting area either). It is also difficult to find restaurants for people with dietary restrictions (eg. Vegetarian, halal etc).

I would give more than 5 star if there is any!! The pick up was on time and we played for nearly 2 hours!! truly worth every penny and we love it so much! I chose to play snowboard and going up the hills was easy but th snow board was quite heavy, i got my not so little brother to carry it for me<33 greatful to have such helper

It was a fantastic experience. The entire hike offered constantly changing scenery. Squirrels even approached us for food along the way. From the high platform, we enjoyed panoramic views of the mountains, and on the way down, a stream was right beside us. Three different ways to experience the mountain in one place – truly wonderful! I highly recommend climbing to the high platform and walking the entire way to the exit.
