Palolem Beach is located in the south of Goa. The beautiful crescent-shaped sand is very quiet, the calm sea is suitable for swimming and kayaking, and there are facilities such as yoga classrooms around. Even in high season, there are nowhere near as many tourists as the northern beaches, so it's not overcrowded. For purer silence, head south along the coast to the less populated Patnem Beach. It's important to note that many of the recreational facilities in Palolem Beach only open in November.Pololem · 1.1 km from downtown

Perched on a cliff overlooking the Arabian Sea, Cabo de Rama Fort is one of Goa's oldest and most historic forts. The fort's name derives from the Indian epic Ramayana, and legend has it that the Hindu gods Rama, Sita, and Lakshman once resided here during their exile. Its fortified walls, casemates, and churches still stand, attracting numerous visitors. From the fort's heights, visitors can enjoy breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea, which are particularly captivating at sunset. Furthermore, the fort's surroundings, Cabo de Rama Beach, offer an ideal spot for relaxation and beach activities. This is a beach in southern Goa that is closer to Margao and Dabolim Airport. Although the scenery is not very charming, it is better than the convenient transportation and quiet atmosphere. It is very popular with elderly European group tourists. The endless stretches of sand and lush coconut groves on the beach make for an enchanting view.Majorda · 4 km from downtown
