Things to do in Wenzhou

Time was limited, so we waited a bit before watching the aerial performance. The view from the teahouse was indeed excellent. The subsequent attractions, such as Xiaolongqiu, Longbidong, Wolonggu, and Duanchangya, also did not disappoint, and my friends were very satisfied.

It's about 12 kilometers from Baizhangji Scenic Area, so driving is convenient. There was plenty of parking when I went. Parking is free for all attractions and the area itself. The scenic area is very quiet and comfortable, with no commercialization, making it perfect for a leisurely stroll. Especially near Pangu Gate, there are towering ancient trees everywhere.

The scenery was quite beautiful, and the ticket price of 210 for three people was already a bargain. However, the boatmen on the bamboo rafts tried to sell them extra money for a longer and more thrilling ride.

In the mountain and sea painting of the "County of a Hundred Islands", Banping Mountain, like a sea cliff chopped by a giant axe, stands majestically in the eastern border, Dasha'ao Beach and Jiucai'ao Tidal Flats hide the fun of sea hunting; fishermen's paintings use colorful colors to outline the various aspects of fishing seasons, mother-of-pearl craftsmanship turns shells into a thousand-year-old intangible cultural heritage treasure, and the "sea flavor" of three-thread fish and salty soy milk hits the taste buds; take a boat tour around the 302 islands, you can encounter Daqu Island where migratory birds gather, or lean on the railing of Wanghai Tower to overlook the archipelago like pearls.

Small island in the middle of the river, but a great experience! The rich historical heritage and beautiful natural scenery made the trip worthwhile! It's just a pity the itinerary was a bit rushed, and I didn't get to see everything, leaving a slight regret. I'll come back next time!

Lingfeng Scenic Area is one of the core scenic areas of Yandang Mountain, offering unique views both day and night. Here you can see peaks of various shapes, streams, ancient bridges, pavilions, the Guanyin Cave Temple built into the slope of Hezhang Peak, the Beidou Cave Taoist Temple nestled within a cave, and the Zhenji Temple, a masterpiece of Song Dynasty aesthetics. Winding paths lead to secluded spots, and the diverse peaks and forests create a breathtakingly beautiful landscape.

The weather was hot, but the areas near the water in the scenic area were cool, especially the waterfall area. The kids had a great time feeding the fish there. They were too tired to climb any further up the mountain, but be careful of mosquitoes in the scenic area.

🌞 I'm in Wenzhou! With no plans, I just casually wandered around and stumbled upon the famous Wuma Street. It's a bit like the bustling Nanjing Road in Shanghai, but a bit more gentle and slower. 🏛️ The buildings lining the street are Baroque-style buildings from the Republican era. The sunlight dappled the facades, creating a beautiful, mottled effect. While walking, I came across the magnificent bronze statue of "Five Galloping Horses." It was truly breathtaking!✨ There's also the First Department Store and century-old shops—it's like you can smell the scent of bygone times. 📍 Address: Wuma Street, Lucheng District, Wenzhou (between Jiefang Street and Fuqian Street) ⏰ Hours: Open all day, feel free to stroll around. 🪶 Fun Fact: Wuma Street got its name from the fact that when Wang Xizhi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty traveled, the street was wide enough to accommodate five horses galloping side by side. Isn't that quite poetic? ⸻ 🐎 1️⃣ Five Galloping Horses Bronze Statue The bronze horses looked particularly imposing in the sunlight, and many people stopped to take photos. On a clear day, the light and shadows on the horses made them look like they were galloping, so dynamic! 🏮 2️⃣ Chan Street Archway The archway of the New Guoguang Building is easily recognizable from afar. Further in, you can see the Jingguang Pagoda on Songtai Mountain. I happened to be there during sunset, and the warm light was incredibly beautiful. 📸 🏛️ 3️⃣ Baroque Buildings Every corner offers a great photo opportunity. The Republican-era-style exterior walls glow golden in the sunlight during the day and warm in the light at night. Wherever you walk by, you'll feel like you've traveled back in time. 🎭 4️⃣ Ancient Theater The bluestone pavement, carved stone figures, and the archway across the street are all incredibly exquisite. The ancient stage and modern architecture juxtaposed side by side create a wonderful contrast, a truly Wenzhou-inspired experience. ⸻ 🚶‍♀ I didn't take the train~ I preferred to walk slowly, take photos, and enjoy snacks. No rush, no set route. Just let my feet take me wherever I want to go.💭

It took an hour to round trip, and the waterfall was only a moderate height, though very thin! Compared to the other scenic spots we visited before, this was quite ordinary! We were mainly staying in the Lingfeng Scenic Area the night before, so we just stopped by the next day.
