Things to do in Wuyishan

The scenery in Wuyishan Scenic Area is beautiful, and the staff are very nice. However, there are many vendors outside the scenic area. The parking lot is large, and the security guards are very responsible. There are also places to charge electric vehicles inside. Tianyou Peak is over 400 meters above sea level, which is not very high, but it is very steep. Many people may not have enough physical strength, but the scenic area is very safety conscious and provides glucose and saline.

Tickets were hard to get, but the scenery was worth it. It was a bit sunny, but not too hot. The boatmen were very humorous. Although they weren't allowed to provide guided tours for a fee, they were still very professional. It offers the best panoramic view of the Jiuxi River, making Tianyou Peak an ideal choice if you only plan to climb one mountain in Wuyishan. The 848 steps to the summit of Tianyou Peak begin at the "Tea Cave," surrounded by other peaks, and involve a total ascent of about 200 meters. The entire path to the top is made up of steps, steep and narrow, and prone to congestion during holidays.

To get to Qinglongtan, there's a gate just past Moon Bay. You need to get off the bus, register your information, and then drive into the Qinglongtan Scenic Area parking lot. Inside, there are stairs leading up to the sightseeing bus stop. The ride takes about 10 minutes to Jiulongtan Station. The winding mountain road is quite thrilling. After getting off the bus, walk down the stairs to a beautiful waterfall. The scenery is captivating, like natural air conditioning, refreshing and cool. The two waterfalls offer distinct atmospheres. We visited the day before National Day and it was practically booked out!

Take a bus to Da Hong Pao and see that tea tree? As the origin of Da Hong Pao, seeing the tree involves walking up a flight of stairs. These are three mother trees with a history of over 360 years. These three mother trees grew into six trees, which, since harvesting ceased in 2006, have grown freely into large tea trees. The story of Da Hong Pao tells of a scholar who fell ill while passing through Wuyi Mountain. He was cured by monks at a nearby temple using tea leaves as medicine. Later, the scholar achieved the highest rank in the imperial examinations and upon returning home, draped his red robe (symbol of imperial honor) over a tea tree, thus giving the tree its name, Da Hong Pao (Big Red Robe). In fact, the entire Wuyi Mountain scenic area is filled with tea gardens; tea trees line the roads. With good air and water quality, the tea grown here is naturally of excellent quality.
