Jourdeness Castle Biotech Park, also known as Jourdeness Castle Biotech Complex, is Asia's largest beauty castle-themed tourist factory, built in Renaissance Baroque style. The architectural design concept CHÂTEAU, meaning "castle" in French, incorporates classical Renaissance elements like domed gables, Roman column sculptures, and garden plazas, evoking the grandeur of European palaces. The guardian statues flanking the castle symbolize life and eternity respectively, reflecting Jourdeness's commitment to protecting consumers' right to beauty. Jourdeness Castle Biotech Park features towering trees and blooming flowers, with Baroque architecture standing majestically. Step into this European-style aesthetic castle, one of Taiwan's most dazzling landmarks, for a transformative beauty journey. Highlights include Taiwan's tallest 50m Baroque dome, a 40,000 sqm outdoor European-style view garden, 19 scenic spots within the castle grounds, and over 100 perfect photo opportunities. Hauger Plaza, the main area of Jourdeness Castle Biotech Park, welcomes visitors into a castle brimming with aesthetic elements that embody the founder's corporate philosophy of "honesty, trust, and sustainable operation." The guardian statues on either side symbolize life and eternity respectively, reflecting Jourdeness's commitment to protecting consumers' right to beauty. Time seems to stand still here, with flowers frozen in full bloom, naturally slowing the pace of every traveler's steps. Shizuka Pool, derived from the Japanese word meaning tranquility, is a vast cosmetic mirror reflecting the beautiful silhouette of the castle. Alishan National Forest Recreation Area

Alishan Scenic Area is an iconic attraction in Taiwan. The Alishan Mountain Range, consisting of 18 large mountains, covers a vast area. The essence of natural beauty is concentrated in the "Alishan Forest Recreation Area". The five wonders of "sunrise, sea of clouds, sunset, forest, and train" can all be appreciated here. When tourists mention "going to Alishan", they usually mean coming here. On clear days, the Alishan sunrise is not to be missed. Within the recreation area, the renowned Zhushan and Xiaoliyuanshan Observation Deck offer unobstructed views of the Yushan peaks, the Central Mountain Range, Tashan, and other mountain ranges. The stunning spectacle of light and shadow as the sun rises is a truly memorable experience. Sunrise occurs around 5:00 a.m. on the summer solstice, around 7:00 a.m. on the winter, and around 6:00 a.m. on the spring and autumn equinoxes. Staying within the recreation area is recommended for sunrise viewing. Please bring a flashlight, a thick jacket, and comfortable walking shoes. Sea of Clouds: The Alishan Sea of Clouds, one of Taiwan's eight scenic spots, often appears in the early morning or dusk when the weather is clear and cloudy in autumn and winter. Recommended places to enjoy the sea of clouds in the recreation area include the observation deck next to the Gaoshan Museum, Alishan Hotel, Alishan Railway Station, Zhuoping Park, Ogasawara Mountain Observation Deck, and near the first parking lot. Sunset: Due to the thin air and strong solar radiation in the high mountains, the blue sky is more vibrant than on the plains, and the sunset glow is even more vibrant. Ciyun Temple, Alishan Guesthouse, Alishan Railway Station, Zhaoping Park, Duigaoyue, Mt. Ogasawara, and the area near the first parking lot are all good spots to view the Alishan sunset. Alishan was originally one of Taiwan's three largest forests. As the altitude gradually increases, you can see all kinds of plants from tropical to temperate zones. Cherry blossoms fly in the spring, red leaves cover the mountains in autumn, and there are also amazing thousand-year-old red cypress forests. You can walk through the forest along the more than 600-meter-long wooden plank road and enjoy a long-lost natural forest bath. Trains: The red train weaving through the cherry blossom forest has become a symbol of Alishan. This retro train, once used to transport timber, is now a popular tourist attraction. Railways run from Chiayi Train Station all the way to the amusement park. The Zhushan Line is perfect for sunrise viewing, while the Shenmu Line reaches the towering forest. Both lines offer convenient access to the entire amusement park. In addition to the charming natural scenery, the recreation area also has many cultural attractions, including the Alishan VIP Hotel, the Alpine Museum, the Tree Spirit Pagoda... Alpine tea is Alishan's number one specialty souvenir. You can buy some around Alishan Railway Station and Fenqihu Old Street as a gift to your friends and family.Chiayi County · 44.3 km from Yunlin

Alishan National Scenic Area

The Alishan National Scenic Area includes Fanlu, Zhuqi, Meishan, and Alishan. The transportation network in these four counties spreads across the entire region like the veins of a leaf. Travelers move through the area, marveling at the lush forests, spectacular sunrises, and stunning clouds. Enjoying tea at beautiful tea plantations and visiting the Tsou indigenous tribe are leisure activities not to be missed. Alishan has been abundant in Taiwan Red Cypress and Taiwan Yellow Cypress since ancient times. After years of logging, there are now nearly 40 giant red cypress trees along the first and second phases of the Giant Tree Plank Walk. Among them, the towering "Alishan Xianglin Sacred Tree" stands at 45 meters tall with a trunk circumference of 12.3 meters and an estimated age of 2,300 years, making it an unmissable highlight for visitors to Alishan. The mountainous area boasts rich biodiversity, featuring rare plants such as the Cyathea spinulosa, Huperzia somai, and Pleione formosana. The wildlife is equally vibrant, with species like the Formosan rock macaque, Mikado pheasant, bush warbler, Taiwan bush robin, and the Alishan salamander. The forest train in Alishan Forest Recreation Area is beloved by visitors. The sunrise at Alishan is magnificent and unforgettable. The Zhushan area is an ideal spot to watch the sunrise. The Alishan area enjoys a cool climate with average temperatures around 10°C. It's worth visiting year-round, though July and August see more rainfall. From November to April, the northeast monsoon brings ideal conditions for witnessing spectacular sea of clouds and misty landscapes. Visit indigenous tribes to learn about local customs and culture. The Tsou villages feature thatched-roof houses, with the men's club "Kuba" being particularly famous. Short daylight hours and significant day-night temperature differences are the geological advantages of Alishan, making high-mountain oolong tea, Jinxuan tea, and tea bags highly popular. You can experience on-site/riverside tea tasting and bamboo forest tea ceremonies. More local snacks to try, including sunrise cakes and millet mochi.Chiayi County · 44.3 km from Yunlin

• Sun Moon Lake is surrounded by mountains and lush forests. The lake is crystal clear, with visibility reaching over 10 meters. • There are many ways to visit Sun Moon Lake. Taking a yacht around the lake, the Sun Moon Lake cable car, the Sun Moon Lake bicycle path around the lake, and the lake trail are all good options. • Every spring, the cherry blossoms along the road are in full bloom, presenting a colorful scene △ Sun Moon Lake is a vast lake, and the peaks reflected in the lake look like a beautiful scene in a painting. There is a small island in the pond, which looks like a bead floating on the water from a distance, so it is called "Pearl Island" and is now also called Lalu Island. With this island as the boundary, the northern half of the lake is round like the sun, and the southern half of the lake is curved like a crescent moon. This is where the name Sun Moon Lake comes from. △ The Sun Moon Lake Lake Route has been hailed by CNN as one of the most beautiful bicycle lanes in the world. Whether you are traveling with friends, a couple on a date, or a family trip, you must ride a bicycle when visiting Sun Moon Lake and enjoy the freedom and comfort of the lake. △ Enjoy the entire lake tour to appreciate the scenery of Sun Moon Lake and the mountains, with the captain's warm service and on-board guided tour. Along the way, you can overlook Lalu Island, Sun Moon Resort, Lalu Island, Ci'en Pagoda, Xuanzang Temple, Xuanguang Temple, water boat house, four-handed hanging net, cable car station, Sun Moon Lake outlet, and Wenwu Temple. △ Sun Moon Lake Cable Car - overlooking the 360-degree view of the lake and mountains of Sun Moon Lake. If there is enough water, you may also have the opportunity to see the foggy and fairyland-like dreamy scenery.Nantou · 52.2 km from Yunlin

Taipei 101

Located in a prime location in Taipei, Taipei 101 was primarily planned by Taipei Financial Center Corporation, a consortium of fourteen companies, in collaboration with a professional team. Designed by renowned architect C.Y. Lee, the project transcends the concept of a single volume, using the auspicious number "eight" (a homophone for "prosperity") as a design unit. Each eight-story building forms a structural unit, interconnected and stacked to form the overall structure. This creates a rhythmic and dynamic aesthetic, pioneering a new style for international skyscrapers. Ultra-high-speed elevators: Taipei 101 Observatory is equipped with two ultra-high-speed elevators, with an ascent speed of up to 1010 meters per minute. It only takes 37 seconds to go from the 5th floor to the 89th floor observation deck. These two elevators are also equipped with constant pressure devices in the car, dampers, and high-temperature resistant ceramic braking systems, making them intelligent high-speed elevators that integrate high technology. The 89th-floor indoor observation deck, illuminated by dazzling lights at night, creates a dreamlike and immersive experience through its glass-enclosed landscape. Not only does it offer panoramic views of the city skyline, but it also features unique, private photo windows, ensuring every moment becomes a classic shot! Wind Damping Sphere: The full official name of the Taipei 101 wind damping sphere is the Tuned Mass Damper (TMD). It is a passive damping system custom-designed to meet the needs of this building, located centrally on floors 87-92. Its main purpose is to reduce the building's swaying during strong winds, minimizing discomfort for those working in the building. Unlike traditional concealed damping systems, the Taipei 101 wind damping sphere's design balances functionality and aesthetics, allowing a clear view of the entire damping system's operation from the observation deck. The multi-section exterior design naturally mitigates the wind field effect on the ground caused by airflow from high-rise buildings, and ensures pedestrian safety and comfort through the separation of green planting areas in the architectural design. Infinite Sky: Utilizing a unique mirroring principle, the interplay of reflections and rotations between the atrium and floor creates a visual experience of boundless space and limitless expanse, making visitors feel as if they are in a kaleidoscope world. Helpful Reminder: Female visitors wearing short skirts should be aware of the reflection issues on the mirrored floor. Rainbow Neon Zone: The night view from above, combined with neon lights, is a popular spot for taking photos and shouldn't be missed!Taipei

The Alishan Forest Railway is one of the three largest mountain railways in the world. The train departs from Chiayi, and along the way you can see three completely different types of plants: tropical, temperate, and frigid. Stop at Fenchihu Station to sample local specialties – wasabi and baby cabbage. Continue from Fenchihu Station to Alishan, climbing the mountain in a zigzag pattern, sometimes moving forward and sometimes moving backward. This is the famous “Alishan train crashing into the wall.”Chiayi City · 25.1 km from Yunlin

We loved this place so much! It was our first time visiting and we absolutely enjoyed it. There are so many attractions and rides to explore that we wish we had more time! We got here midday and the place closes at 5pm so you definitely need to go early so you can explore the whole place. The staff were all very nice and helpful. There’s a lot of food stalls and shops as well and so many food options to choose from. Getting here was also easy because there are buses that go to it, and there are buses to ride home as well (the bus stop was also really nice!) We’ll definitely go here again, and we’ll go earlier next time! :)

This tour was surprisingly good. It wasn't a large group, but the most important thing was that the tour guide was very professional, articulate, and attentive to every detail. He was also very considerate and helped the passengers find the best angles for photos. This was definitely the best tour guide I've ever had! Of course, the car was also spacious, comfortable, and clean. I have to give it a thumbs up!

Huashan Mountain in Yunlin is located in Yunlin County, Taiwan. Although it is not as steep as Huashan Mountain in Shaanxi, it has beautiful terrain and is suitable for hiking and leisure travel. It has a rich natural ecology and different scenery in each season. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in spring and the sea of clouds rolls in autumn, giving people a sense of tranquility and remoteness. There are also temples and trails on the mountain, along the way you can enjoy the magnificent mountain scenery and lush forests, which is very suitable for tourists who like hiking.

In the early morning, the Alishan train slowly started, shuttling through the misty forest. The wooden seats in the carriage exuded a faint pine scent, and outside the window was a continuous green bamboo forest and towering ancient trees. The train slowly climbed along the winding track, occasionally passing through a tunnel, and the view suddenly opened up, with the sea of clouds rolling underfoot, as if in a fairyland. The collision of the wheels and the rails was crisp and pleasant, accompanied by the birdsong in the mountains, like a symphony of nature. In front of the terminal, the sun filled the carriage, warm and quiet. This journey seemed to prolong time, making people indulge in the tranquility and beauty of the mountains.
