▲ Alishan Train: Originally designed for transporting timber, it was converted to sightseeing after forest conservation policies and the rise of tourism. Currently, the trains operate within the park: the Zhushan Line for sunrise viewing, the Zhaoping Line to Zhaoping Station, and the Shenmu Line to Shenmu Station.
▲ The Tianchang and Dijiu suspension bridges were built during the Japanese occupation period in 1937. They were named to commemorate the Tenchō Festival (the Japanese Emperor's birthday) and the Chikyū Festival (the Empress Dowager's birthday). Although many tourists visit these bridges, few are aware of their historical significance. Instead, they are often associated with the romantic legend of "eternal love," where lovers are said to be united forever.
▲ Alishan is home to many breathtaking natural landscapes and unique scenery. The forest railway is a major highlight of the Alishan Forest Recreation Area. This train route traverses dense forests, offering views of magnificent mountain landscapes and lush vegetation along the way. Another popular attraction is the Giant Tree Trail. Walking along the trail, you can admire these ancient and majestic trees up close, experiencing the power and tranquility of nature.
