The National Museum of Chinese Writing is a research Museum built on the theme of the Chinese writing system. The architectural style is modern while still carrying a Shang dynasty antiquity feel to it. The museum includes the Zi Fang (Character Room), a plaza, a thematic exhibition hall, Cang Jie Hall, Science Hall, Research Center and Communication Center. Some of the items in the museum's collection includes Oracle bones, bronze inscriptions, bamboo slips, silk manuscripts and example of Chinese minority writing systems. The National Museum of Chinese Writing is based on the world's characters, with Chinese characters as the mainstay, and ethnic minority texts as an important part. It uses detailed materials to exhibit Chinese characters and the splendid civilization which has been written in Chinese characters.
