Keqier Grottoes, also known as Keqier Thousand Buddha Caves or Hesel Grottoes, Chinese Buddhist Grottoes, are located on the cliff of Mingwu Tage Mountain, 7 kilometers southeast of Keqier Town, Baicheng County, Xinjiang, and to the south is the Muzart River Valley. Keqier Grottoes are the earliest large-scale grottoes in China and the most geographically located in the west.
