    You need to be careful on mapping your GPS as head for the trailhead for the hike. You will be able to see the crater from quite a distance. There is free public parking and a restroom for visitors. T...

    Nowhere else we saw these kind of lava formations

    The crater might look smaller than others in iceland, but I’ve never seen lavastone formations like that. For me, it was the most beautiful crater to visit within iceland.
