90 kilometres from the Iraqi border you can find one of the most modern museums in Syria. 1996 the Deir-as-Zur-Museum was moved to the new building at Saahat ar-Rais. The building was a Syrian-German gem ...
I went with a French woman who happened to be with me at the police station at the bus terminal. We are the only customers. When I paid the entrance fee, the staff unlocked the entrance. Naturally, it was quiet and I was able to slowly see the interesting exhibition. It is a museum where you can feel the depth of the Middle East. When I came to the exit after watching it leisurely, the staff made coffee and chatted for a while. Not only this museum but also the people in the town of Delisol 々 are many friendly and kind.
