Yes it's a monument. Yes it's dan o Connell. Yes , I won't be going back to see it. It's dark and tall with little going for it
But it's sunny out.
Amazingly this monument can make it feel overcast on the sunniest of Irish days. Grey and imposing, a good landmark. But don't stay too long or you will be wondering why you don't feel so good anymore...
Middle of the town
The statue of Daniel O'Connell dominates the tpown centre. Worth a look. All other parts of town are easily found from here.
