Dajiangpu Ancient Village

The history of Dajiangpu Village can be traced back to the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty, when the Kwong family moved from Dadun Village to build a village here. Walking into the village, you can see that the buildings all sit north to south, and most of them are made of brick, wood and stone. The five temples in front of the village face a large crescent-shaped pond, and then connect to the houses. The village consisting of ancestral halls, folk houses and book houses forms a chessboard layout. The five ancestral halls are all built into wok-ear gables, with three entrances and three rooms. There are several cultural landscapes in the village, such as the name of the village "Dajiangpu" written by Lin Zhaotang, the champion of the late Qing Dynasty, which is engraved on the plaque at the entrance to the village; the garden-style building "Spring Flowers and Autumn Moon Mountain House" with Chinese and Western characteristics is handed down from "Xuancheng Family Tree". . Walking in the village, there is a nostalgic atmosphere. The five ancestral halls in front of the village are open to the large pond opened by the crescent moon, and then connected to the houses. The five ancestral halls are all built into wok-er gables, with three entrances and three, namely Nengyuan Ancestral Hall, Wuyu Ancestral Hall, Huaishan Ancestral Hall, Leqiu Ancestral Hall and Juxian Ancestral Hall. Nengyuan ancestral hall at the top of the village, named Dunaitang; Wuyu ancestral hall at the bottom of the village, also known as Dunbentang. The two ancestral halls have a very long history and worship the two ancestors who founded Dajiangpu Village.
