Historical Architectures

The main thing about the Northern Wei Mingtang Ruins Park is that there are two museums inside, one is the Northern Wei Mingtang Ruins Museum and the other is the Northern Dynasty Art Museum. In fact, the entire park is a garden built for this site. Both museums are used as branches of Datong City Museum and belong to Datong City Museum. You can make an appointment on the WeChat public account of Datong City Museum. I feel that in addition to Labor Day and National Day, I don't need to make an appointment in advance because there are not so many tourists. Go in from the north gate of Xiangyang Street Park, very close to the ruins museum, but the art museum is in the south, go to the art museum, go around the back. Both museums are not big. The ruins museum is some foundations. The exhibition hall on the art museum is on the first floor and the basement floor. There is no elevator. The only downside is that the museum does not turn on the air conditioner. All branches of Datong City Museum do not turn on the air conditioner! ! ! I went in early August. Although the summer in Datong is not as humid and hot as the Beijing, Tianjin and Shanghai areas, it is also very sun-baked during the day in early August, and the feeling of baking is still there. The museum did not turn on the air conditioner, and even the staff at the door were hot. I also have a fan on my hand and I don't want to take pictures at all. It is recommended that the administrators turn on the air conditioner in the summer! There is a cultural and creative store on the art museum that can be stamped. The bathroom is not in the museum, but on the west side of the south gate of the park. Free parking is available on the sidewalks around the park. It's just that the parking space is a little tight. Then there are restaurants around the park, and there are not many famous chain stores located here. So if you don't want to queue up in the restaurants in the ancient city, you can come here to eat. You can see the map of any restaurant.

Memorial Temples
午🐴
" Guandi Temple " is located on Gulou East Street, Datong Ancient City. It is a shrine building before the Ming Dynasty, commonly known as the Great Temple. The main hall in the temple is the only Yuan Dynasty building preserved in the ancient city of Datong. The Qing "Datong Mansion Zhi" contains Ming Jingtai, Jiajing, Longqing and Wanli years to repair the monument. The Qing Kangxi and Qianlong Dynasty were all built and repaired. The Qing Shunzhi period stage in the front square of the temple was simple and elegant. The central axis of the temple was built in turn with mountain gates, cross halls, main halls, spring and autumn buildings, and the temples of wealth, grandmother halls, and famous generals, etc., forming a complete and magnificent architectural pattern. Since Datong has been a must-win place for soldiers since ancient times, the spirit of martial arts was originally a geo-tradition, coupled with the experience of war, praying for peace and stability has become the greatest expectation of the people. The Guangong of Zhong, Yi, Ren and Yong is the idol of worship.

Art Museums
冰之炙点
Datong Art Museum at the intersection of Taihe Road and Xijing Street in Yudong New District, next to the Datong Museum, you can see this shape of a more personalized building from afar. Looking like a flying saucer from a distance, but more like a hermit crab shell, the earthy gray building, feel the sense of art is stronger, because when I went to the museum, I did not enter the building, I have the opportunity to go again.

There are many caves in Yungang Grottoes according to the number. The 20 caves are representative grottoes, an open-air grotto, and the largest grotto in Yungang Grottoes. It is a special shock from the outside, and it is also the place where tourists punch in the most.

Memorial Halls
午🐴
" Liang Sicheng Memorial Hall " is located on the north side of the sinking square of Dongcheng Wall Belt Park in Datong City. It is a special memorial hall to commemorate Mr. Liang Sicheng (1901 ~ 1972), opened in 2011. The museum is named by Luo Zhewen, a Chinese ancient architecture expert and Liang Sicheng's disciple. Liang Sicheng and others came to Datong for ancient construction inspection in the 1930s, leaving precious surveying and mapping manuscripts for many ancient buildings in Datong. Today, the ancient city protection and restoration project in Datong depends on these detailed surveying and mapping manuscripts and text materials. The theme of the exhibition in the museum is "Master. Datong", and four exhibition halls are set up, with the theme of a generation of masters, worthy of mountains and rivers, Datong investigation, and consolation of the first teachers, fully showing the history of Mr. Liang Sicheng's visit to Datong for ancient architecture inspection. The collection of Mr. Liang's monographs is even more precious.

山在穷游
Datong, a net red city, is now almost crowded in many attractions in the ancient city, but the Confucian Temple in the southeast corner of the ancient city, but few people come. There are really many things to see here. Highlights 1: Five Dragon Wall You may know the Kowloon Wall in the ancient city. Or the Wulongbi in front of Shanhua Temple, in fact, there is also a Wulongbi left by the Qing Dynasty on the west side of the Confucian Temple. 2: Every Confucian Temple in Dacheng Palace has its own Dacheng Palace, and this Dacheng Palace is the original building of the Ming Dynasty, built on the platform, sitting north and south in a convex shape, with five broad faces. Go deep into three. The lower part of the front of the horizontal arch was cut into a bevel, the corner arch was complicated, and the column net arrangement was a column reduction method, which greatly increased the activity space in the front of the temple. My favorite is the stone railings around the platform. There is Xuanwu rock carving in the middle of the railing, whether it is a character or an animal. They are very vivid 🌟 Highlights 3: The Confucian Temple structure now basically reflects the rules of the Confucian Temple. Even the Krypton Gate has built two 🌟 Highlights 4: Although the Confucian Temple is not open to the outside world at night, the night view around the Confucian Temple has now become a cultural street. Very good-looking, it is worth to see the last thing to remind, this Confucian Temple can be called Datongfu Confucian Temple, because there is also a county Confucian Temple in Datong County, don't be confused
