Mount of Our Lady of Lourdes

Jilin Lourdes Notre Dame Mountain, commonly known as Notre Dame Cave, is located at No. 206 Huashan Road by the beautiful Songhua River. It is a place for Catholic activities. In 1920, Father Joseph Gu of the French Mission for Foreign Missions in Paris purchased more than 48,000 square meters of the mountain and built the Notre Dame Cave and church. During the "Ten Years of Great Movement", it was all destroyed. In 1986, Bishop Li Ruowang of Jilin Province followed the example of ancient Joseph and devoted all his savings to the Church Day and Doum Temple Fair. Every temple fair, men and women believers come here to offer incense, set up a tent and perform a play, which is very lively.
