China and Vietnam share a long border, however the most spectacular part of this must be the Detian Waterfalls in China's Guangxi Province. Around a 3 hours drive eastwards of Nanning, or alternatively south from Baise, it is reached by private car or public bus. To drive here, you can rent a car and drive yourself as the roads are in good condition and not difficult to navigate, or you can hire a driver. For the bus, you can depart from Nanning bus station, although this option is slower. Remember to bring ID or passports for buying tickets and for the frontier border check-even though you're not leaving a country, all vehicles are still inspected. When you arrive, you board the sightseeing bus up the mountain, straddling the river that seperates the two countries, finally arriving at the top and the waterfall scenic area. You walk in a circular direction around the waterfall from the east side, offering spectacular close-up views of the whole valley. There are many observation points for photos or videos here. There are places to buy souvenirs and also vietnamese snacks. Be sure to try the cliff walk, glass bridge and the slide down the mountain for 59¥! Best time to visit here has to be mid-afternoon, so that you get both daytime and the evening sunset over the mountains range and waterfalls. Located around 2 hours drive south of Baise, China's Guangxi province, you will come to one of the most stunning places to visit in a China itself. This is the mountains that run along the China-Vietnam border region and there you will find Goose Spring, hidden away in it's secluded and picturesque wonderland. Only accessible by private car...once you arrive, a short boat ride up to small river is a good way to begin the visit. This is the opportunity to see the local people and take in the unbelievable scenery that now surrounds you on all sides. Then take a walk past the gardens, pools and water wheels and take a leisurely climb up to the viewing platform overlooking the valley below. Here you can take an unforgettable panorama or the scene in front of you. Climb even higher for a walk along the side of the mountain trail. Yesterday on our way to Baise, Jingxi from Nanning, at half way, we stopped by the “Goose Spring”. 🦆 This place is highly recommended ✅, is a beautiful valley within the mountains ⛰️ that is combined with the green 🌳of the nature and yellow of the rice fields 🌾together with a gorgeous pound 💧, making this a very peaceful ☮️ and relaxing 🧘‍♀️🧘 spot 🏞️ To get there probably the best is to rent a car 🚗 or hired a driver, but we also saw some local buses 🚌 , that could bring you there from Nanning city. If you enter the park early in the morning with a ticket🎫, a one to two hour visit is enough🕑. The spring water is so green💚 and clear that it's simply stunning😍! The mountain and pastoral scenery is also very characteristic of Guangxi🌟, and it's truly worth a visit👍! The scenic area also has set up photo checkpoints📸, with an observation deck on the hillside where you can take panoramic shots🌄! For tourists in a hurry, following the marked checkpoints in the scenic area can be very efficient💪! I heard that entering before 8 am can get you free admission🎫, but unfortunately, due to scheduling, I missed out😔. The overall lighting for photography in the morning was a bit backlit😥, I think entering the scenic area in the afternoon might be better for photos🤔~

Forever moved by the landscapes of Guangxi!!! On a spontaneous trip, I came to Chongzuo, this small border city. After arriving by high-speed train, I was immediately amazed by the city. It boasts ink-painting-like countryside, mountains all around, cascading waterfalls and springs, and the cost of living is very low. This city fulfills all the fantasies of 'choosing a city to grow old in.' In such beautiful landscapes, time seems to stop flowing, and there is nothing that the landscapes of Chongzuo can't cure; if once isn't enough, then come twice! Next, follow my route and start your Chongzuo journey! 🛻 Chongzuo 3 Days 2 Nights Self-Drive Tour Itinerary Day 1: Rent a car from Chongzuo South Station and head to Detian Transnational Waterfall Group, then go to Mingshi Countryside (watch the sunset here, accommodation prices are about 200-300 yuan). Day 2: First visit Mingshi Countryside, then go to Gulong Canyon, Sandiequan Waterfall, Tongling Grand Canyon, Aibu Waterfall, and finally arrive at E'quan (watch the sunset here, accommodation prices are about 100-200 yuan). We set out from Jingxi County and drove to Goose Spring. Goose Spring is a famous attraction in Jingxi County, located in Goose Spring Village, Xinjing Town, 4.5 kilometers from the county town. Although this is a border area, the road conditions along the way are good. The scenery around Goose Spring is very beautiful, with the typical karst topography of Guangxi in the distance and golden rapeseed flowers nearby. It is said that the spring mouth of Goose Spring belongs to a karst cave, with the main stream of the underground river being 21 kilometers long, and the spring water discharges eastward to form the Goose Spring River. We took the villagers' bamboo rafts to get close to the Goose Spring River, admiring the beautiful aquatic plants in the river, the lively swimming fish, and the charming scenery on both banks.
