Easy to get to. The Ingalls' graves are well signposted. Parking. Peaceful. Well-kept. (Note: Laura Ingalls is buried in Missouri.)
See where Ingalls Family members RIP
I had visited these family graves as a youth. Now the site is well-marked and work has been done to preserve the gravesites of Pa, Ma, Mary, Carrie, and an infant son of Laura and Almanzo Wilder.
Very peaceful resting place
I grew up reading Little House books and watching the show. Seeing the Cemetery and their graves was one time where TV and reality met.
Great trip for Laura Ingalls Wilder fans.
This trip to see buildings and authentic objects from the Ingalls family past, and the gravesites of some of the family members was wonderful. Any Laura Ingalls Wilder fan should visit De Smet.
Take time to see this
This site is a bit out of the way. However, if you loved the Little House books it seems like a place you should visit when you’re in the area. The entire cemetery is attractive and well-kept.
