Named after Kobayakawa Takakage
There is a small place at the west exit of JR Mihara station, in the middle of which there is a statue of Kobayakawa Takakage, a son of famous Mori Motonari and the founder of Mihara Castle. From this...
A square that is not clear only by a stone monument
Original Text
When I left the north side of Mihara Station, a stone monument marked "Ryukage Square" stood beside the moat surrounding the castle tower. Although the name of the mayor at the time of its construction was written, it had no other features, and it was not clear where to go from "Takakage Square". Grace, there was a statue of Takakage Kobayakawa in the nearby bus rotation area square.
There was a stone monument on the moat side in front of the statue of Takakage Kobayakawa in the corner of the Mihara Castle Ruins Historical Park, and it was Takakage Square. To be honest, I wasn't sure if it was part of the park or where it was from.
It is located on the north side of Mihara station.

It seems to be a nationally designated historic site, but there was nothing like a historic site. It was good that there was a statue of Takakage in Takakage Square. I didn't know that Takakage Kobayakawa was based.
The place related to takakage Kobayakawa, a master general of the Sengoku period (period of Warring States)

Mihara Jo castle was based in takakage Kobayakawa, the third son of Motonari mori. It used to be called "floating castle" floating in the sea, but it is interesting to have the remains of the castle in the city because a station was built on the site of the main enclosure and the cityization of the castle ruins was promoted. There is a statue of Takakage Kobayakawa in Takakage Square at the site of the main enclosure.
