Hidden Gem of Temple with Superb Ceiling Paintings
You can't see the entrance from the road, a real hidden Gem. Founded in 1309, this Zen Temple has a Gunma Cultural Property Mon (Gate, 1775) with a Stunning Painting of a Celestial Maiden on the Ceili...
This is a beautiful temple complex, almost out of sight, slightly overgrown, with a serene, tranquil aura. It envelopes you with its centuries-old stillness. A walk there, even on a rainy day, puts yo...
It is a temple on the outskirts of Takumi no Sato. Revisit to see the autumn leaves that I was interested in when I visited in different seasons. The weather was blessed on the day, and the maple trees that had just begun to color had a wonderful gradation of green, yellow and red, and the ginkgo trees with completely yellow leaves were shining. I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of the temple and the beautiful scenery. Only one point. The mossy stone bridge over the pond that used to be built was replaced by a vermilion bridge. It's beautiful, but somehow the atmosphere has changed ...
It is a large temple near Takumi no Sato. The plants and trees were natural, but it was a nice place to be casually in good condition. It was closed because the main hall was just renovated, but I was able to enjoy the atmosphere around me. The scattered wild Buddhas and the remnants of hydrangeas all stood quietly in the summer sunshine, calming my heart.
Hands and flowers overflowing on the bridge of the approach

I visited Tainingji Temple to appreciate hydrangeas. There was a stone bridge across the pond from the parking lot, and hydrangeas were in bloom around it. You can also take a walk along the river flowing from the pond and around the pond. If you go back from the bridge, you will see a long stone steps and a magnificent mountain gate. Further up the stone steps, you will find the main hall and bell tower. I also enjoyed flowers other than hydrangeas in the precincts.
