Uncrowded park
All of Minneapolis's parks seem connected to each other and many were quite crowded, but Boom Island Park is separate from them by a bit North of town and few people were there when I visited. It off...
Beautiful even in a Blizzard
Great park to enjoy a stroll along the Mississippi. Lots of parking and the was groomed well. We enjoyed it during the February Blizzard...cannot wait to return in Summer.

Great Park in a Great City!
I love Boom Island Park! This is an awesome place to sit and watch the Mississippi River, enjoy the scenery and people watch. There is a playground for the kids and beautiful walking paths.
clean, scenic overview of the river and downtown
This park was very clean and well kept. It was very popular with runners and cyclists. There is a boat launch too for kayaks and small boats. Be sure to see the lighthouse. Its not big but its pretty....
