One of the Better Large Music Venues in the Twin Cities
Really good music venue in downtown Minneapolis. Not as good as First Avenue but certainly better than watching a show at the Xcel or Target Center. Best comparison in town is The Palace in Saint Paul which I think is more enjoyable. The GA in the Palace is almost as wide as it is deep. The Armory is long and narrow. You can be far from the stage if you are in the back of the room. If you are GA, get there early when doors open if you want to be near the stage.

Seriously, this venue is amazing!! I highly recommend looking into the deluxe experiences with VIP service. Private entrance, amazing hostesses and service, private booth, and bathrooms made for an all-time evening to remember. The food was fabulous, great acoustics, and just such a great vibe.

Great venue overall if you don’t mind standing. But be sure you know what you’re getting into if you buy tickets other than GA. I got a “suite” for my bday. Because they sell standing room only tickets on the balcony, we literally couldn’t see the stage from our seats-the SRO people blocked it. When you buy premium tickets the last thing you think of is visibility to the stage.
