Beautiful setting
The setting is beautiful but the beach is in poor shape, lots of washed- up trash. But I was here well ahead of beach season, so I'm sure they get it picked- up or else no one would come.
Marine shoes and floats are essential because the sandy beach is small gravel

The sandy beach was small gravel and my leg hurt. There are quite a few waves, and it is quite difficult to walk with gravel. Floating is a must if you are swimming in the sea. Perhaps because of the warming, the water is warm and out of beat even though it is the Sea of Japan. The sea water is transparent like a river. The view of the sunset from here was beautiful!!
It is a beach behind the hot spring hotel area of Seba Onsen. It would be crowded with sea bathers during the sea bathing season, but when I visited, the people were sparse because it was cloudy at the end of August. If the weather is nice, you can see the beautiful scene of the sunset sinking into the sea.
After enjoying a day trip hot spring and lunch at Daikanso, I went down to the beach. It was a holiday, but it was the end of October, so it was quiet on the beach with people fishing and people walking around. There was a footbath just below the hotel and it was available even if it was not a guest.
It's not the sea bathing season, so there are few people on the beach. It is a long beach of about 1 km that spreads behind the Seba Onsen town. It is a popular beach in Niigata, and the sea opens every year 7 month 15 day. It is a gravel beach with high transparency and beautiful beach.
